ESTATE PLANNING OVERVIEW
If you have real property, sizable intangible assets, or a child, estate planning is essential to ensure that your assets pass to your desired beneficiaries at death. Estate planning can include the creation of wills, trusts, status of property agreements, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives.
Services include a free consultation and are tailored to each client’s needs.
CODICILS TO WILLS
A codicil amends an existing will without having to start from scratch and rehaul the entire will. A codicil can be a great option for making minor changes to a will.
Individuals: $300 Couples: $350
SIMPLE WILLS
This package includes a simple will for each client which designates beneficiaries for your real and personal property, writes out unintended beneficiaries and names a personal representative to manage your estate upon your death. The package also includes a Durable Power of Attorney for Finance, Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care, Health Care Directive, and Disposition Upon Death Instructions for each client.
Individuals: $750 Couples: $1300
PROBATE
Probate is a court process for settling estates—ensuring creditors are paid and property is distributed. For persons who died with a will or died intestate (without a will) and have real property or sizable personal property, probate is generally required.
Hourly rate: $300
WILLS WITH TESTAMENTARY TRUSTS
If you have minor children, this package may be appropriate. It allows money left to your children to be managed in a trust by a friend, family member, or professional and restricts use of the money to education, health care, maintenance, and support until a set age is reached. The will also names a guardian for minor children and includes everything that the simple will package includes, such as a Durable Power of Attorney for Finance, Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care, Health Care Directive, and Disposition Upon Death Instructions for each client.
Individuals: $950 Couples: $1700
